We are sorry to report that the digital guestbook is not currently functional.

Josh — Sheldon’s nephew — built the guestbook interface in the spring of last year. It was very impressive. There was a form, a submission confirmation message, and everything. The entries were supposed to populate below in a scrollable list. Josh had a whole vision for it.

In November, Josh accepted a position at a software company in Austin. We are very proud of him. He said he would finish the backend before he left. He did not finish the backend before he left. The form renders, but submissions go nowhere. We checked. Sheldon sent four test messages and none of them arrived. He is not certain where they went.

Josh has been responsive to texts, generally speaking, but says he needs to look at it when he has time. This has been the situation since December.

⚠ ALTERNATIVE GUESTBOOK ARRANGEMENTS: A physical guestbook binder is available at every monthly meeting. It is the green binder on the table by the door — not the grey binder, which is the membership log, and not the blue binder, which is Herb's medical documentation that he accidentally left here in October. If you would like to leave a message, sign the green binder. Sheldon reads it. He enjoys it.
